Legacy & Vision
Established in 1951 by Kulapathy A.P.C. Veerabahu, the college was founded on the noble vision of “Education for All”, aiming to uplift economically and socially dis-advantaged sections through quality higher education.

Named after the legendary freedom fighter V.O. Chidambaram, the institution continues to uphold the founder’s ideals under the guidance of Thiru A.P.C.V. Chockalingam.

The institution stands firmly on the unique principle of:
Non-commercialization of education – No capitation fee for admissions, No donation-based appointments
Currently, the college is progressing dynamically under the leadership of
Dr. C. Veerabahu, carrying forward the founder’s vision with commitment and innovation.

A Legacy of Milestones
The institution has successfully celebrated:
Silver Jubilee, Golden Jubilee, Diamond Jubilee and is now proudly celebrating its Platinum Jubilee (75 Years), marking a glorious journey of academic excellence. Also the college had organised the centenary celebrations of its founder Kulapathy A.P.C.Veerabahu (2015), the 150th Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji (2019) and V.O. Chidambaram (2021).
