With rich heritage spanning over 25 years, DIT University, Dehradun (erstwhile Dehradun Institute of Technology, Dehradun – Estd. 1998), the flagship institute of the Unison Group, was established in the year 2013 by DIT University Act, 2012 (Uttarakhand Act No. 10 of 2013) vide Notification No. 60 / XXXVI (3)/2013/63(1)/2012 dated 15 February 2013 and further recognized by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi under Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Further, during the year 2023, the Government of Uttarakhand has brought all the Private Universities under the common Act viz. The Uttarakhand Private Universities Act 2023 (Uttarakhand Act No. 02 of 2024). Presently, DIT University offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral programmes in the domain of Computing, Architecture & Design, Engineering, Humanities & Liberal Arts, Management, Pharmacy & Population Health Informatics and Applied Sciences, Bachelors Program in Nursing and Health Care Professions viz., Physiotherapy, Medical Lab Technology, Optometry, Operation Theatre Technology Program with around 6000 plus students enrolled and more than 280 faculty members.

HOSTEL: Hostel provides feeling of Home- Away-From-Home to the students. Keeping in view the same philosophy we provide a secure, comfortable and healthy environment for all the residents of the DIT University hostels. The hostel accommodation comprises of American style apartments which are well furnished, hygienic and have ultramodern amenities. Each apartment has three rooms shared by two students each, a lobby and attached bathroom.

The placement season for Academic Year 2025 has begun and the students have also started bagging the pre placement offers from brands like Encryption Consulting, Oracle, Proc DNA and one of our students has grabbed an offer of 11 LPA with IBM.
