The Khaja Bandanawaz University is a young institution, has been established on 23rd August 2018 by the Karnataka State Government Legislation Act (No.18 of 2018).

It has been founded by the Chancellor Janab Dr. Syed Shah Khusro Hussaini whose resolute determination has seen the realization of the vision of his father Alhaj Padma Shree Hazrath Syed Shah Muhammad Muhammad Al-Hussaini, who was the visionary Founder of the Khaja Education Society in 1958.

The Khaja Bandanawaz University is situated in a region of historic and cultural relevance and Kalaburagi has been home to Saints, Philosophers and Thinkers. We look forward to the active contribution of all the aspirants, Students and Teachers towards this great vision of academic excellence of the University.

Through carefully designed courses at KBNU, students have innumerable opportunities to emerge successful as Professionals in Medicine, Engineering and Technology, Nursing, Education, Law, Sports, Management and Entrepreneurship.

Currently there are 8 faculties, 45 departments, 205 Faculty members, 341 Staff and 1720 students under the university.
